A Recommendation Letter from a school administrator (professor, coach, advisor, faculty, staff, etc.), addressed to the OU Black Alumni Society – Houston, on OU letterhead. The letter must include recommender's contact information (email address and phone number) and signature.
Craft an insightful essay with a maximum of 400 words, focused on the following question: What is a current social issue that you feel passionate about and how could your chosen career contribute to addressing it?
When naming files for attachment, kindly follow the recommended naming convention. For instance, use "Smith.John.Resume" as a format guide.

The deadline for the 2025 Scholarship application is April 15, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time. This includes the submission of all documents (transcript, letters of recommendation, etc.). Incomplete applications will not be scored.
By June 1, 2024, applicants will be notified of their selection status. Notifications are sent to the email address provided on the application.

Checks are sent directly to The University of Oklahoma in your name upon receipt of proof of enrollment.
